ISO 14001 International Environmental Management System Standard Certification Acquired at All Domestic Facilities

Japan Pulp and Paper Company Limited considers the conservation of the global environment to be an important issue common to all humankind and recognizes it as a fundamental principle in the management of its business activities. With this in mind, JP will continue its endeavors to make a positive environmental contribution while reducing its burden on the environment.

As part of the Company’s efforts to further enhance its environmental management system, JP adopted the international standard, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, obtaining ISO 14001 certification for all its Tokyo area facilities in January 2001 and extended that accreditation to cover all its domestic facilities in Japan by January 2002.
