2.Background to Establishment

According to official government figures, the population of the Philippines has already passed the 100 million mark and is continuing to trend upwards. In 2013, the country's GDP grew at a rate of 7.2%, the second highest growth rate among the emerging Asian nations behind that of China. An expansion in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry is also resulting in an increasing number of foreign-owned enterprises entering the market.
Given the Philippines' remarkable rate of growth, JP has established this new representative office as part of its continued expansion of the Group's global network and will work to capture new demand and further business opportunities in the Philippine market.
