Notice Regarding the Completion of the Establishment of a New Company and Business Acquisition in Germany, and Completion of Subsidiary Conversion Through Share Acquisition in France
Japan Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director, President & CEO: Akihiko Watanabe; hereinafter “the company”) hereby announces that the procedures for establishing a new company and acquiring a business in Germany, disclosed by the company on October 10, 2024, and the acquisition of shares in two paper wholesale companies in France, disclosed on October 18, 2024, were both completed on November 29, 2024, local time in each country.
Through the grouping of these five companies, the group will expand its wholesale business in continental Europe by utilizing its logistics network covering the entire area of both France and Germany to sell graphic paper and sign and display related products, as well as packaging related materials in Germany. We will also strategically integrate our existing European businesses in the UK, France, and Germany, with our group's global network to pursue synergies across the entire group.
