Corelex Shi-Ei is collecting wastepaper generated within the Expo 2025 venue and recycling it into toilet paper. While paper is used for various purposes within the Expo 2025 venue, Corelex Shi-Ei is manufacturing toilet paper using not only general mixed paper* but also paper plates from food courts and other types of wastepaper that are typically incinerated as combustible waste or are difficult to use as raw materials. This initiative contributes to the circulation of resources by reducing waste and using the recycled toilet paper within parts of the Expo venue, as part of efforts to reduce the environmental impact of Expo 2025.
*Mixed paper: Wastepaper other than commonly collected types like newspapers, containerboard, and milk cartons.
