In March this year, Japan Pulp and Paper Company Limited (hereinafter, JP) established JP Asian Electronics Materials (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, to specialize in the sale of materials to the electronics industry, as a part of the Company’s efforts to further expand its sales structure regarding the supply of materials to the electronic component industry in Southeast Asia.
Demand for materials used in conjunction with electronic components is increasing in accordance with the recent rise in the quantity of electrical products that are being produced in Southeast Asia. JP has been selling carrier and cover tapes through its network of offices in Southeast Asia and Japan for many years and in 2002, extended its operations to include the manufacture of carrier tape with the establishment of JPTS Electronics Materials (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Shanghai China.
The establishment of JP Asian Electronics Materials (M) Sdn. Bhd. will allow JP to take greater advantage of its JPTS Electronics Materials (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. manufacturing operations in China and enable the Company to offer its customers a high level of specialist support. JP will work to continue expanding its sales of materials used in conjunction with electronic components such as capacitors, resistors and inductors as well as raw materials used by the electronics industry.
