Expansion in Flexible Packaging Business within the Ball & Doggett Group

Japan Pulp & Paper Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tokyo; President and CEO: Akihiko Watanabe) hereby announces that its consolidated subsidiary, Ball & Doggett Pty Ltd (Head Office: Melbourne, Australia), has acquired Impak Films Pty Ltd (Head Office: Melbourne, Australia) and Impak Films New Zealand Limited (Head Office: Auckland, New Zealand), both engaged in the wholesale of flexible packaging materials, as of October 31, 2025.

Additionally, Ball & Doggett (USA) Inc, established in August 2025 in Delaware, USA by Ball & Doggett Group Pty Ltd (Head Office: Melbourne, Australia), has acquired the business of Impak Films US LLC (Head Office: Atlanta, USA), which also engages in the wholesale of flexible packaging materials, as of October 31, 2025.

1. Background and Purpose

Under Medium-term Business Plan 2026, the Japan Pulp & Paper Group has positioned the enhancement of high value-added product sales—particularly flexible packaging materials for food applications—as a key strategy within its Non-Japan Wholesaling segment. This includes supplementing existing sales networks through complementary M&A activities.

Ball & Doggett Group, a leading company in the paper distribution industry in Oceania, will continue to strengthen its business domains across the group and pursue further growth.
